Swim Lessons

This past Wednesday, Emerson had her first swim lesson. She was super excited to go, but when she found out mommy would not be going in the water with her, she was super sad! I figured she might have a little trouble, but had no idea how bad it would be. I scheduled the lessons at the latest time to have Casey available just in case.
Casey met us at the pool and was a huge help. One of us spent the first half of swim lessons trying to get Eme into the pool, while the other worked hard at keeping Gavin out of the pool! It definately worked out that Casey could be there. Emerson was freaking out so I let Casey take over. He was able to calm her down and get her to finally let go...literally.

Finally...a smile!

She really enjoyed herself after getting over the immediate fear. She was so excited that she didn't want to leave. She tried to put her "turtle pack" back on and get back into the pool! She did so well!!

This is how we kept Gavin happy. The whole time he kept saying he wanted Eme and wanted to get in the pool. Sweet boy.
