My mom has a box for each grandchild. In each box are cookie cutters, an apron, and pictures of the kids for each year they helped make Christmas cookies. The kids look forward to making cookies every year. This year was fun because both Gavin and Eme could really be involved. They each had their own area to roll there dough out and cut shapes of their choosing.
Emerson was so helpful after making the cookies. While we cleaned up the cookie cutters and dishes, she vacuumed up all the mess.
The excitement of decorating the finished product. We cheated a little this year. Mom bought already made icing in the craziest colors. Gavin, in true Gavin form, had icing everywhere! I'm pretty sure the kids had a running bet...who could stack the most onto one cookie?! I think Eme won!
