Prepare yourself for a blog post FULL of selfies!
Casey had a work trip scheduled in Las Vegas and we decided to make it a trip for the both of us. He was there for the week and I flew out on Thursday afternoon. Let me start by saying that I don't love to fly. I also don't love to fly by myself. It just so happened that I was going to be on the same flight with parents of Emerson's friend, Madeline. We decided when we saw each other that we would sit next to each other on the plane. We boarded and then...we were told over the loud speaker that we would be hanging out for a while because of the weather in Vegas. We had to wait on the plane for about an hour. Once we were up, all was good, until about half way there. This was THE WORST FLIGHT I HAVE EVER BEEN ON in terms of turbulence. People were screaming, puking and the entire plane even applauded when we landed. It was crazy!! I am so glad I had friends to sit with because I can't imagine doing that all by myself. The winds were roughly 80mph in Vegas. It knocked power out for thousands of people. Enough crazy weather to shut down the Vegas airport for roughly an hour. What I didn't know at the time, was that Casey was sitting in an awards ceremony watching me on the radar. He was so scared they were going to divert my plane. He also knows how much I "love" to fly. I made it. I walked outside the airport and was almost swept away by the wind. The street lights were even out! When I finally got to the Venetian, I was exhausted. The only problem...everyone else was just getting ready to have fun for the night. Buck up Courtney. And that's just what I did. We gambled a little, walked A LOT, and saw a ton of Vegas. We had a great time, but we were definitely exhausted come Sunday. Back to the airport we went. As we were waiting to board, they come on the loud speaker to say that our flight would be delayed until they could determine why the safety lights were coming on in the plane. Yes, you heard me right. We were waiting to board a plane that had some "malfunction" that had yet to be determined. Ugh!! We were made to wait roughly an hour or so and this time we had a connecting flight that we had to make or we wouldn't get home until after midnight. We were so annoyed. Casey went ahead and rented a car just in case we didn't make our flight in Atlanta. We would make it home faster from Atlanta if we drove. We were very fortunate that there were so many people on our flight that were from Raleigh. We believe that is the only reason they held the plane in Atlanta. We ran to make our flight and we were home by dinnertime. Home in time to kiss my babies before bed. Good times.

So many neat things to see.

More to see
If you are ever in Vegas, and you can handle a bit of crude comedy, this show is a must see. Full of acrobats and ridiculously funny people. Oh, and it was in a circus tent.
This was made of flowers!
They had a Senor Frogs. Casey and I met at Senor Frogs in Mexico.
