After her first game had to be rescheduled, Emerson finally had a game against the YMCA Challenge team. Many of her classmates and friends were on the opposing team, which made it super fun. Spirit played a great game and Emerson did so well. She had a beautiful left footed goal and played more aggressive than we've seen in a while. She also needed her inhaler, which goes to show that she was working really hard. The girls ended up winning 3-0.
The interesting part of Emerson's game, was that her game was AT THE EXACT SAME TIME as Gavin's. We were fortunate that their games were played on fields right next to each other. We decided the easiest thing to do would be to sit in the middle and try to watch both. That is easier said than done. Good thing we won't have to do this often...this year!
Gavin had his second game of the season and like the first, he started off in goal. He did awesome, with several really pretty saves. The second half he played center mid and like he always does, he played with so much hustle. Their team won their second game of the season 4-2.
1 goal for Emerson!
