Update on Emerson

Just thought I'd update you on little Miss Emerson and add a few recent pictures! Emerson is doing well. She continues to have issues with reflux, but we are working on that! She was started on Prilosec a few weeks ago, but we believe that really hasn't done much for her symptoms. We called the doctor a few days ago and he told us we could increase her dose and I also asked about giving her rice cereal to maybe help with some on the symptoms she was experiencing. He gave us the okay, so we are now adding rice cereal to two of her feeds each day. So far we haven't noticed much difference but we'll just have to wait and see. Emerson is much more alert and aware of her surroundings lately. It's amazing to see her track her Daddy's face and recognize when Mommy walks into the room. She has also found her own hands and enjoys sucking on her fingers every chance she gets. If only she would do this during the night instead of insisting she have her "bobo"! Her pacifier starts off in her mouth, she begins to fall asleep, it pops out, and then she gets a BIT upset!! Emerson is growing more and more every day. At her one month appointment she weighed a wopping 9 pounds and 3 ounces!
