So, yes...it has been a while since I posted. Life has been a little busy. Casey's new job has limited our down time. I have the kids Monday through Friday from 8am until about 6:30pm. Some days feel like they may never end. Surprisingly, we are doing quite well with our new daily life. We have gotten into a nice routine and it has actually been fun to spend my days with the kiddos. Don't get me wrong, there are days when I have had to repeat myself one too many times or screaming/crying babies are just too much. My days are spent with either a toddler at my ankle or a baby on my hip (yes, he is still my baby)! I wouldn't change it for the world though. I am fortunate to spend this time with my children. They are truly growing so much every day.

Update on Emerson: Well, Emerson has quite the personality. She insists on doing things all by herself. Do not try to put her in the tub or buckle her in her seat! She will let you have it. She can be a handful and often stresses me out. She is in a stage right now where listening is not her favorite thing to do. I find myself repeating most everything. She sees time out somewhat frequently and has now been subject to going to her room. We are not so sure that our discipline tactics are working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am aware that she is finding her "place" in our world, but darn...it makes mommy a little tired. She loves to sing and you will hear her singing anything from nursery rhymes to songs by Taylor Swift. Emerson says some of the funniest things now. I have tried to make it a point to write them down because they crack us up and we want to remember these moments forever. She has started to be somewhat of a picky eater. She used to eat anything you put in front of her. She still loves hot dogs with dip and any type of fruit she can get her hands on. She has been peeing on the potty for a while now...off and on. She shows interest and then she decides she could care less. We just go with the flow. When she is ready she'll let us know. She still loves Dora and has started showing more interest in playing with her barbies. She pronounces blanket as "blank-a-let". Makes me laugh every time I hear it. Although we are experiencing some "terrible twos" she still has the ability to make us smile and she can be such a sweet girl. We love you boogy!
