We finally had Emerson's 4 year appointment. She weighed 35.6 pounds and was 40.6 inches tall. She is in the 55th percentile for weight and 70th for height. She did great while the nurse/doctor listened to her, took her blood pressure, and did her eye exam. They decided to start her on Flovent to see if it helps with her cough and shortness of breath during physical activity. I was also given the choice to give her some of her 5 year vaccines at this visit. I decided to go ahead and give her two. She will now only have to have a couple at her next well-check. She hated the vaccines and she let us all know. Wow. It is much harder to see her getting vaccines now. She screamed bloody murder. I can't imagine what she would have done if she had to get 4 at one time. After her appointment, ice cream was necessary. Chicken nuggets and ice cream were on the menu for lunch. After shots...anything goes. The office called after we left about her eye exam. They wanted to refer her out to have her eyes reevaluated. She was seeing 20/30 out of one eye and 20/40 out of the other. We have since had our appointment and she checked out fine. No prescription needed. Oh, Sassafras, that's her new name these days.
