Life

After talking to a girlfriend the other night, I realized that I haven't been blogging nearly as much as I would like.  This is the closest thing my children have to a baby book.  Sure, I have a book with their measurements and important dates, but this is the place I write about the memorable things.  The things they do that make us laugh out loud.  The things they do that amaze us, each and every day.  The simple things.

My kids are changing so quickly.  They are becoming little people with their own personalities almost overnight.  I often find myself just watching them.  Taking them all in.  I think about their many differences and how they do simple things to remind me they are so much alike.  They carry traits similar to their father.  They do things that remind me that I play a part in their every day life. 

Today is a special day.  Today, Casey and I celebrate 8 years of marriage.  Life can be crazy sometimes.  To think back to our lives 12 years ago...I never would have imagined what was in store for us.  I am so happy that we met that day in Mexico.  So happy we fell in love and got married 4 years later.  I think we both agree, our biggest accomplishments to date, would be our love for each other and the amazing children we created together.

I can't even begin to express to my husband how thankful I am...thankful for all the hard work he puts in to support our family.  He goes to work everyday, working long hours, so that I am able to stay home with the kids.  He misses out on many of the "simple things" and I know how hard that is for him.  Today, I am counting my blessings.  That's all.  The many blessings of life.
