On July 4th this year, we decided to go downtown. We waited until the kids woke up from naps and then headed downtown. We had dinner at Busy Bees, which was super "busy". The kids did great waiting patiently for their food! After dinner, we were off to "enjoy" the many activities for kids. They had a monster slide, bull, and several other things for the kids to do. Emerson was so pumped to ride the bull...until she actually got on it. Poor girl. She was terrified. After the rides, we decided it was time to head back to the car. We parked in Casey's parking garage, on the top level. It was the perfect spot to watch the fireworks. I think Emerson was startled at first because she definitely started crying. After the initial shock, everyone enjoyed the show. We had to fight traffic to get home and didn't get home until super late. We had a great day together...just the four of us.
