After arriving home from Florida Christmas Eve, we were all pretty excited to just hang out at the house for a while. I'm sure you can imagine that we had very little in regard to groceries after being gone for the past week. What would we feed Santa?! Daddy saved the day. He ran out for dinner and stopped at the grocery store for the essentials. We prepared reindeer food and scattered it in the front yard for Santa's helpers. We also prepared cookies for Santa and placed them where we thought Santa would look first. Emerson woke at 430am that morning, wanting to go downstairs immediately. Sorry, not sorry. We made her butt climb into bed with us and go back to sleep. She actually did. I think we made it downstairs sometime around 7....I honestly can't remember. There's something special about watching the kids get so excited over Christmas morning. Santa brought Eme her Perfect Pet and Animal Baby, just like she asked. He also brought Gavin his Power Ranger phone and Scuba Legos. From the expressions on the kid's faces, Santa did good this year. Mommy and Daddy did good too. We are so thankful to be able to spend Christmas morning together.
"...because when you stop and look around, this life is pretty AMAZING."
