Halloween 2016

We may have set some sort of record this year for Halloween.  We carved more pumpkins than we ever have before.  We carved a pumpkin at the house and then we went out to Tisa's and carved maybe 5 more!  The kids got really involved in the process this year.  They did a good bit of the work with little to no help.  Halloween costumes are starting to get interesting.  Instead of me "helping" them choose what they will be...they are really adamant about what they want to be.  Emerson had her mind set on being Mal from the movie Descendants.  I tried to tell her that not many people would know what she was dressed up as, but she didn't seem to mind.  Gavin really couldn't make up his mind.  He wanted to be a lot of things.  He finally settled on Luke Skywalker.  The funny thing about this costume choice...he's never seen any of the movies.  It was that or a ninja (he was a ninja the previous year).  So, we had Mal and Luke Skywalker.  We made our yearly trek out to Wake Forest and enjoyed a little Halloween party at the Nichols' house, followed by trick or treating.
