Gavin had his one year check-up recently (ok...really it was a few weeks ago...I've just been too slack to blog about it). He checked out great. He weighed in at a whopping 21 pounds, 11 ounces. He is 31ish inches long. That put him in the 90th percentile for height and 30th for weight. He had to have four shots and a finger stick at this visit. Boo! He did really well with everthing. Such a big boy! So, what's Gavin doing at a year old?!?! He now says a handful of words, as well as signs them. He is walking/running everywhere. He's a tough cookie. He falls and gets right back up, like nothing even happened. He eats three meals a day and has snacks in between. He likes to eat ANY fruit you put in front of him. He also really enjoys yogurt, veggie sticks, freeze dried fruit, green beans, noodles, grilled cheese, and pancakes. He still wants an occassional bottle of milk, but drinks out of his (or his sister's) sippy cup throughout the day. He loves to brush his teeth...which I believe he has five of those bad boys now and is currently working on more. He loves to play outside, throwing a ball or pushing a toy. He's a happy boy!
This is from his appointment. He will not sit still!
Emerson "reading" a book while we wait.
This is my view of a very unhappy boy!
