Halloween this year consisted of a pirate and a cowboy...what could be better than that?!? It was so neat to see the change in Emerson, while dressed up in her costume. She uses her imagination more and more every day and I love to see her in "action". This year, Halloween started off by visiting Casey's work. Every year RedHat decorates their offices and allows the kids to dress up, trick or treat, and enjoy some pizza. I dressed the kids in their costumes and met Casey at RedHat. The offices were decorated and it was funny because you could see Eme taking it all in. She was very interested in how the bats were flying, the noises and lights. Gavin, on the other hand, was not so thrilled! The kids had a great time and really racked up! It was nice that they were able to do this because the actual trick or treating this year was somewhat of a bust!
Unfortunately, the day of Halloween was a cold and rainy mess! It didn't look like much trick or treating was going to get done, but we tried to make the best of it. We dressed the kids up, stopped by Nana's and PawPaw's, and then headed to Tisa's for some Halloween festivities. This was a picture of the kids prior to being cold and a little wet. Thanks to Casey, Eme and Gavin were able to hit a few houses for candy, which seemed to be just fine for them.
