One word comes to mind when thinking of Gavin's tball...HOT. Unfortunately, the little guys play where there is zero shade. Even the 9am games are super hot. In this age group, the kids practice for the first 30 minutes and then they play a game for the next 30 minutes. There is a ton of parent involvement, which is nice. This allows the kids to learn much more in the little bit of time they play each week. Gavin has a great arm and has been playing really well, despite the heat.
Emerson "Legs" Swope. She might be the only girl on her team, but that surely doesn't stop her. She has always had a natural talent at hitting the ball hard. The challenge has been her being a lefty. Teaching her to throw and deciding which hand she is most comfortable throwing with was somewhat difficult for her right-handed parents. She throws left and bats right. We have been working more on her batting left, which she is equally good at. She done great this season and the time she gets to spend with her daddy has been great for both of them!
