Upper GI

They were able to move the Upper GI procedure up to today! We had to be at Wake Med at 7:45am and Emerson hadn't eaten since 4am. Needless to say, by the time they were ready for her, she was starving!! She did great during the entire thing. They had her drink a chalk-like substance (they added strawberry nesquick for taste) while the doctor watched as the liquid moved from her mouth to her belly. The end result...no blockage or malrotation! This is great news!! She does however have REFLUX, which we pretty much knew going into it. We will be trying a new medication, twice a day. We just have to wait and see. Here are a few pictures of Emerson in her little hospital gown.
