Halloween 2015

Halloween fell on a Saturday this year.  The kids woke up that morning and immediately wanted to put their costumes on.  We tried to stay busy, but they were all about getting dressed.  I kept telling Emerson that she was not going to like having the makeup on for very long.  Also, Emerson came down with a cold the day before and I knew the combination of being uncomfortable and having a cold wouldn't be great for anyone!  Finally, the time came when they could get their costumes on.  The makeup for Frankenstein was excessive....and a pain in the butt to get to stay on.  We were going to do her hands also, but she quickly decided against that.  They both looked great!  We headed out to Tisa's for trick or treating.  On the way, Emerson said she just wanted to skip trick or treating, take off her makeup and get into her jammies.  Poor thing.  She was over it before it even began.  Everyone ended up going and the kids had a good time.  They lasted about half the lap and were done.  Makes our job of keeping the candy to a minimum pretty easy.  Daddy stayed back to chaperone a party for Kayla while we headed home for the night.  We checked out the goods when we got home, brushed our teeth and were off to bed.  Another Halloween in the books.  So much fun!
