Bittersweet

Gavin's spring soccer season is now over and this is a bittersweet moment for our family. Gavin has made the decision to leave the team he has been playing with for many seasons, to move on to NCFC.  Gavin will be trying out for the NCFC Challenge team at the beginning of June and will no longer be playing for the YMCA soccer team he has spent many seasons with. This was a hard decision for him to make, but after much consideration, he decided it's what he wanted to do. If he makes the challenge team, he will have a schedule similar to Emerson. Challenge teams practice twice a week and have games on the weekend. Gavin will be sad to leave his buddies that he has grown so close to and he will miss his coach immensely. Coach CJ has been such a great leader, coach and role model to Gavin and we are so grateful for all the time he spent with these sweet boys. The positive for Gavin is returning to play basketball with CJ in the fall. We are looking forward to watching him grow in ONE of the games he has grown to love. Super proud of this guy.
