Germs are EVERYWHERE!

Our house has been germ infested over the last two weeks...and I'm not sure how much longer I can take it!  Emerson needed to be picked up from school last Tuesday because she was not feeling well.  When I got to the school, she was walking to the office with a trash can in her hands.  Poor girl.  She felt so hot, looked awful, and had puke all over her clothes.  When I sent her to school that morning, I thought something was off.  She pretty much refused to eat breakfast.  She had a cough, but I just assumed it was allergy related.  Boy was I wrong.  Her temperature was 103 when I got her home.  She was out the rest of the week with a fever, off and on.  Needless to say, not much sleep was happening in our house.  When Eme gets sick, she gets sick.  We were confined to the house and trying to prevent ourselves from getting what she had.  After a doctor visit, antibiotics, and steroids; she was finally on the mend and seemed much better Saturday morning.  We all tried to catch up on sleep over the weekend in hopes that we were rid of the nasty germs.  Wrong again.  Gavin began Sunday evening with a poor appetite and he had his signature "sick" eyes.  He woke up Monday morning sounding horrible.  He ended up with a fever as well.  He has been pretty pitiful.  Gavin never seems to let anything bother him, so when it does, we worry.  He has had a fever, off and on, for the past few days.  He hasn't had much of an appetite and the only thing he's wanted to do is watch television.  He woke up Monday night with a fever of 103.  He woke up again last night with a fever and ended up puking because of it.  Grrr!  These darn germs!  Looks like we will be in the doctor's office at some point today.  Cross your fingers that mommy and daddy don't get sick.  I think we are all ready to get back to a normal routine and no more funk.  Boo on germs!
