This year for Christmas Eve we spent our afternoon at Casey's parents. The temperature that day was in the 70's! It felt so weird pulling shorts out for Gavin to wear. We headed over at around 1pm and spent the afternoon eating, drinking and enjoying the company of family and friends. The kids were super excited to start the present opening. Emerson received lots of neat art supplies, while Gavin racked up in the spy/survival department. After the adult white elephant gift exchange, we loaded up the car and headed to a friend's house for a few hours that night. The kids started getting tired and we still had things to do to get ready for Santa. We got to bed somewhat late that night; after reindeer food, cookies, milk, reading and the normal bedtime routine. Sweet dreams kiddos!
