Santa came! My kids slept in! I actually work up to my mom texting me that they were on their way over...it was 630ish. She missed them last year and decided that wasn't going to happen this year. So we sat (my mom, Lee & Josh) downstairs quietly waiting on the kids to wake up. Emerson woke up first. She was told she had to wait to come down until Gavin woke up. She decided to flip his light on and wake him up...in a slightly abrupt way. Poor guy. As they were preparing to come downstairs Gavin asked Eme to not wake him up next time. He must have been sleeping good. The major thing on Emerson's list this year was an American Girl doll. The major thing on Gavin's list was wrestlers. Casey showed him a video a few months ago of high school wrestlers and ever since he has been asking for them.
Among the things Santa brought there were razor scooters for them both, tons of baby doll accessories and an American Girl for Eme, wrestlers and a rink for Gavin. Santa filled the stockings full of shopkins, card holders, nail polish, undies, crystals, pocket knife, spy gear and lots more.
If there is one thing I have learned this year, it is our family is FORTUNATE.
We are surrounded by family and friends and we are alive and well.
Not much more to ask for.
