NC Courage Day

The Wake County Board of Commissioners proclaimed Monday, August 19th as “NC Courage Day in Wake County.” The board presented the players and coaches with a Wake County challenge coin to commemorate the occasion. Immediately following the recognition, the team signed autographs and posed for photos with fans. Emerson, Gavin and a few of Eme's teammates were there for the ceremony and autographs/pictures. How amazing, as a 9 and 10 year old, to have your ball signed by someone who just played on the USWNT in this summer's World Cup?! Last year, the NC Courage won the National Women’s Soccer League regular season, the NWSL championship and the Women’s International Champions Cup. No other professional women’s soccer team in the United States has achieved this feat. This was an amazing experience for these kids and for me!
