Fall soccer has started and we are so excited! Emerson is playing for the same all girls team and their team name is the Sounders. They had their first game this past Friday, after only having one practice, and did really well. It was brutally hot so the fact that they were even out there was amazing. Most of us would have died. The field is a bit bigger and the coaches must stay on the sidelines now. This means more work on positioning and communication among the girls. They won their first game and Emerson scored a goal, which I am excited to say, I caught on camera!
Gavin is playing with all boys this year. His team name is the Ducks. This is the first year that they divide the girls and the boys. He misses his girls but seems to have adjusted well. ;) This all boys team has some work to do. He has played with a handful of the boys over the previous seasons, but there are many new faces on his team. I'm pretty sure the coach has his work cut out for him. The attention span of these boys is slim to none.....like NONE. Wow. There are maybe 5 good listeners and the rest are off in la-la land. Let's hope things turn around!!
